Elise Roske called the meeting to order at 11:30 a.m.

The Officer and Committee update/status reports were as follows:

Education: Karen Shears and Darlene Ahlers discussed upcoming workshops. Ann Johnson will be conducting a contracts type workshop in October. Derick Batiste will be discussing MOBIS contracting in November. Education is trying to get Chuck Williams to discuss small business contracting in December. A possible legal workshop was discussed for February. Neil Lentz will do a contract close out workshop and Ann Johnson would like to do another workshop on how to fill out a fellows application. Education sought advice from Mr. Pete Dayton on classes and he suggested that Jacobs do a SOW course. Discussed adding project management. Al Guidry volunteered to assist with the SOW/Project Management Workshop.

Scholarship: $750 of supplemental scholarship funds were received from National. The board will award a third scholarship in the amount of the supplemental funds. Elise Roske will check to see if the additional funds would have gained the chapter additional Graalman points.

Program: Jill Armstrong reported that Larry Clark will be the speaker for October. Other potential speakers include Richard Hopf, Leah Deavers, Pat Summitt, and Tony Duvall. Vicki Dyer reported that Pat Summitt must be contacted in January to book the following year. It was discussed that program would attempt to get someone from the organization that wins the lab contract. Connie Bayless forwarded an email regarding someone willing to speak on ergonomics.

Membership: Lisa Oldham reported the delinquent and dropped members. We have 178 members. Membership ask for assistance in contacting the delinquent members.

Employment: Al Guidry reported that he had several companies contact him with positions available. He will place an article in the newsletter to get the word out that NCMA provides this service.

Historian: Connie Bayless passed around the picture albums.

Constitution and Bylaws: Joel Pearman reported that he had reviewed two different versions of the constitution and bylaws. Joel asked who had the latest version of the constitution and bylaws. Elise Roske said that she thought that Charles Samuels had the latest version.

NES: The NES position will be filled by David Methot with assistance from Robert Lynch and Doris Heim. NES will be April 4th. The outline of NES can be found on the web page. The ET chapter is in the national brochure and the magazine.

Newsletter: Connie Bayless requested articles by Friday. The newsletter will need an article from membership.

Treasurer: Mark Williams reported that he is still working on financials. The September meeting expenses were $775 and the revenue was only $675. The ET chapter received a $6,300 check from NES. Mark is working on a budget. He requested a functional treasurer position manual published by national. Geff Ivey invoiced for 3 1/2 hours at $25 per hour.

Fellows: Ann Johnson's goal is to get some of our long time members to fill out fellows applications. Ann wants to have a fellows recognition meeting. An application will be included with the newsletter.

Certification: Mike Criss has held meetings regarding certification.

Social and Facilities: Vicki Dyer asked program to assist her in asking the speakers what their equipment needs were going to be prior to the monthly membership meetings.

President: Elise Roske ask the board for ideas on how to best utilize the board of advisors this year.
