Elise Roske called the meeting to order at 11:30 a.m.

The Officer and Committee update/status reports were as follows:

Secretary: Katherine Bumgardner absent. Minutes taken by Lisa Oldham.

Education: Karen Shears reported that we had 59 confirmed registrants for the Best Value Seminar at $265 per person. Mr. Nash will arrive on the 23rd. He will do a question and answer session at DOE at 3 p.m. We need someone to take him to dinner on the 23rd and the 24th. We are missing a lapel mike for the seminar. There is a workshop on March 1, Latest Legal Issues in Contracts.

Scholarship: No report.

Program: Leah Deaver confirmed for March. Tracie Rucker will send a letter of confirmation. John Crawnan from UT is confirmed for May.

Membership: 153 members in the chapter. Dues increase effective April 1.

Employment: No report.

Historian: No report.

Graalman: No report

Constitution and Bylaws: No report.

NES: Mike Criss reported that the monthly meeting was held on February 8, 2000. One person is signed up, budgeted for 55 attendees. Speakers are still an issue. Mike Criss will be one of the speakers. Jim Dee is interested in speaking. It is suggested that we do the NES in the morning, and have other related speakers in the afternoon. We will assist speakers with travel expenses (hotel cost). David Wallace will check on a speaker in Huntsville.

Newsletter: Input due by COB February 22, 2000.

Publicity and Website: Robert Madgett reported that there had been over 1000 hits on our web site.

Fellows: No report.

Certification: Starting to meet two times per month. Two people studying for CPCM. Workbooks are from 1993, suggested that the chapter buy a new set. Mark Williams will donate his set. We will reimburse participants if they pass the exam ($70). We get Graalman points for this.

Social and Facilities: No report.

Treasurer: Mark Williams reported the February ending balance of $13,056.46.

Vice President: No report.

President: No report.
