The East Tennessee Chapter offers our members the opportunity to learn more about the contracting profession through three primary means: 1) our annual NES and workshops, 2) helping our members get certified in one of NCMA’s five nationally recognized certifications and 3) by providing learning opportunities for our members through seminars, webinars and NCMA’s National Education Seminars (NES).

April NES:

The Chapters’ April National Education Seminar (NES) is a day-long educational, networking, and professional development event hosted at Double Tree.  If you’re interested in learning more about the courses offered please contact our NES Chair, Heidi Timmerman.

NCMA’s certification programs have become the national standard in our profession. An NCMA certification tells current and prospective employers that you have mastered the portions of the Contract Management Body of Knowledge (CMBOK) covered by that certification.  NCMA certifications help you differentiate yourself from your peers, demonstrate your commitment to professional development and may help you with a promotion or help you in your job search.  NCMA currently offers five professional certifications:

The East Tennessee Chapter offers training in a variety of forums including our monthly meetings and other events held throughout the year.  In addition to training offered at the monthly meetings, we have also offered NCMA’s National Education Seminars to our members.

In addition to training put on by the East Tennessee Chapter, the National NCMA organization also offers training webinars on a variety of topics.  NCMA’s webinars are live, 90-minute online educational events combining real-time presentation with telephone conferencing. Each month, NCMA presents timely topics drawn from both the government and commercial contracting arenas, given by subject-matter experts.
