Board of Directors

NCMA East Tennessee is governed by a Board of Directors. Individually, the Board consists of dedicated professionals that were recommended by nominating committee and elected by majority vote. Collectively, the Board is entrusted with ensuring the Chapter acts as an effective and responsible organization. The Board has played a key role in the success of NCMA East Tennessee and we are pleased to recognize each member.

Tim serves as the Manager of the Supply Chain Management organization for URS|CH2M Oak Ridge, LLC (UCOR), the cleanup contractor at the East Tennessee Technology Park.  He has more than 34 years of experience in managing several diverse technical and administrative programs and organizations.  He previously worked for CH2M-WG Idaho, LLC as the Director of Subcontracts, Procurement, Property, and Fleet Management at the Idaho Cleanup Project.  While at the DOE Rocky Flats site in Colorado, Tim worked for Kaiser-Hill, LLC serving as the Manager and Project Chief Engineer for the Procurement Engineering and Quality Assurance group and as the Manager of Procurement Systems organization.  From 1990 – 1999, he worked for the Department of Energy as a Director and Deputy Director for several technical organizations at the Rocky Flats Field office. Prior to 1990, Tim worked for the Department of Defense, as a nuclear engineer supporting the naval nuclear propulsion program at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard in Hawaii.  Tim earned a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Management at the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University.

Michael Vermeulen is the Senior Contracts Director for Consolidated Nuclear Security, LLC (CNS) and is responsible for the management and administration of CNS’s prime contract with the National Nuclear Security Administration for the management and operation of the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN and the Pantex Plant in Amarillo, TX.  Prior to joining CNS in 2014, Michael spent seven years as the Business Services Director for Babcock & Wilcox Clinch River, LLC in Oak Ridge, TN and twenty years in various management positions at the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in New Orleans, LA.  Michael earned his BBA degree from Western Michigan University, his MBA from Florida Institute of Technology, and he attained his Certified Purchasing Manager Certification in 1994.
