2020 NES Information and Registration Link – Contract Compliance — Now on June 3, 2020

Dear East Tennessee NCMA community,

In light of recent world events, we have decided to postpone our National Education Seminar scheduled for April 7th.  It is now scheduled for June 3rd – Contract Compliance will be presented by the same great speaker, Michelle Currier. 

  1. If you are currently registered and wish to remain registered for June 3rd, you do not need to take any action.
  2. If you are currently registered and wish to request a refund, please send that request to Mark Bryan at bryanma@ornl.gov and thotz@pughcpas.com simultaneously no later than April 7th
  3. If you are not yet registered and wish to do so, please see the attached flyer for details.

The Seminar: Contract Compliance is a one-day National Education Seminar (NES). In this seminar, you will learn to: assess and monitor an organizational compliance environment, demonstrate compliance with required business systems, and monitor compliance up and down an organization’s supply chain. The day will also include practice assessing compliance and a hands-on CPSR audit simulation.

The Presenter: Ms. Michelle Currier presents this informative and engaging seminar like no other! Ms. Currier currently serves as a Professor of Contract Management at the Defense Acquisition University (DAU). She brings a wealth of real-world experience to the classroom from her 39-year career, having served with distinction as a Contracting Officer, Division Chief, Deputy Director Small Business and Director of Contracts at the Naval Research Laboratory, Military Sealift Command, Small Business Administration, Naval Sea Systems Command, and the Army Contracting Command. Ms. Currier has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the DAU Faculty of the Year, DAU Distinguished Teacher Designation, DAU Corporate Asset Development Award, Superior Civilian Service Medal, and DAU Corporate Ask-A-Professor Award. She has been recognized by Inside Business as one of the Top 25 Women in Business in Hampton Roads. Ms. Currier has earned both the Certified Professional Contracts Manger (CPCM) and Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) designations from the National Contract Management Association (NCMA). Ms. Currier was competitively selected and is a graduate of the inaugural class for the U.S. Army’s Senior Leadership Program and is DAWIA Level III certified in Contracting.
